NSW:NSW motorcyclist dies after police pursuit

A motorcyclist has died in a collision following a police pursuit in Sydney's south.

Police say the smash, on Rocky Point Road in Kogarah at about 2.30am this morning,
happened when a motorcyclist collided with an on-coming vehicle.

Police from Botany Bay Local Area Command had been pursuing the motorcyclist.

Police have initiated a critical incident investigation.

Rocky Point Road remains closed between the Princes Highway and Gray Avenue and traffic
diversions are in place.
